DESCRIPTION:Experience the beauty of a special place in the Twin Cities! The Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden is the oldest public native plant garden in the United States. Located in the heart of Minneapolis\, it brings together a diverse collection of plants in woodland\, wetland\, and meadow habitats in just 18 acres. This unique garden started by Eloise (and others) has been carefully cultivated over 120 years by many hands into the wondrous place it is today. \nThe Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden Florilegium captures the intimate details of the beautiful wild plants of this garden. A florilegium is a compendium of illustrations of the plants in a particular place\, as a visual and historical record. Created by artists of the Minnesota School of Botanical Art\, the project reclaims a centuries old form to highlight a special\, public place that’s important today. It carries on a tradition of botanical illustration that brings together art and science to create accurate\, yet expressive\, depictions of living plants. \nThis all-ages exhibition centers on the 111 watercolors of the florilegium. DESCRIPTION:See birds up close and watch the experts band birds at CNC. Banding runs continuously\, so come and go as you please. Donations of bird seed and suet are appreciated in place of a program fee. In case of inclement weather such as heavy rain or snow banding may be canceled. \nAll banding\, marking\, and sampling is being conducted under a federally authorized Bird Banding Permit issued by the U.S. Geological Survey’s BBL.

DESCRIPTION:Join Dodge Nature Preschool teacher Melissa Tobias\, M. Ed.\, for a six-week fall series of Nature Tots classes!  \nCuriosity will guide you through the Nature Tots program where families will explore the woodlands\, farm\, and animals at the nature center. Each class will include a group gathering time\, a short walk outside (a quarter to a half mile) exploring Dodge’s ecosystems\, a small snack\, and a closing song. \nThrough this program\, adults will gain confidence being outdoors with their young child and learn strategies to support their development.  \nNature Tots is designed for children ages 16 months to 3 years old who were born after September 1\, 2023. One caregiver must attend with the child. A child will get the most out of the class if they can move independently over uneven terrain.  \nThe $150 cost is per child attending.

DESCRIPTION:Join Dodge Nature Preschool teacher Melissa Tobias\, M. Ed.\, for a six-week fall series of Nature Tots classes!  \nCuriosity will guide you through the Nature Tots program where families will explore the woodlands\, farm\, and animals at the nature center. Each class will include a group gathering time\, a short walk outside (a quarter to a half mile) exploring Dodge’s ecosystems\, a small snack\, and a closing song. \nThrough this program\, adults will gain confidence being outdoors with their young child and learn strategies to support their development.  \nNature Tots is designed for children ages 16 months to 3 years old who were born after September 1\, 2023. One caregiver must attend with the child. A child will get the most out of the class if they can move independently over uneven terrain.  \nThe $150 cost is per child attending.

Ed.\, for a six-week fall series of Nature Tots classes!  \nCuriosity will guide you through the Nature Tots program where families will explore the woodlands\, farm\, and animals at the nature center. Each class will include a group gathering time\, a short walk outside (a quarter to a half mile) exploring Dodge’s ecosystems\, a small snack\, and a closing song. \nThrough this program\, adults will gain confidence being outdoors with their young child and learn strategies to support their development.  \nNature Tots is designed for children ages 16 months to 3 years old who were born after September 1\, 2023. One caregiver must attend with the child. A child will get the most out of the class if they can move independently over uneven terrain.  \nThe $150 cost is per child attending.

DESCRIPTION:Experience the beauty of a special place in the Twin Cities! The Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden is the oldest public native plant garden in the United States. Located in the heart of Minneapolis\, it brings together a diverse collection of plants in woodland\, wetland\, and meadow habitats in just 18 acres. This unique garden started by Eloise (and others) has been carefully cultivated over 120 years by many hands into the wondrous place it is today. \nThe Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden Florilegium captures the intimate details of the beautiful wild plants of this garden. A florilegium is a compendium of illustrations of the plants in a particular place\, as a visual and historical record. Created by artists of the Minnesota School of Botanical Art\, the project reclaims a centuries old form to highlight a special\, public place that’s important today. It carries on a tradition of botanical illustration that brings together art and science to create accurate\, yet expressive\, depictions of living plants. \nThis all-ages exhibition centers on the 111 watercolors of the florilegium.
