DESCRIPTION:Bring a Swedish creature to life by carving your very own Mörksugga\, or “Dark Sow.” This creature could be called one of Dalarna’s other most recognizable icons (after the Dala horse\, of course)\, and today often appears in homes as a gentle watcher on bookshelves or window ledges. In this carving class open to all skill levels\, students will practice using simple hand tools to carve their own dark pigs and paint them with non-toxic milk paint\, then add a tail made from wire\, yarn\, and small weight. Your Mörksugga will head home with you ready to keep watch over your home. \nAdditional information: \n\nAdvanced registration required.\nA $20 materials fee is due in class to the instructor\, and covers all materials and tools.\n\n  \nPrerequisites: \n\nPhysical ability: Woodcarving requires good hand strength and dexterity\, for example being able to open a jam jar.\nSkill level: This workshop is open for all skill levels and especially appropriate for beginners.\nAges: Suitable for students ages 18+\, or ages 14-17 if registering alongside an accompanying adult. DESCRIPTION:Perfect for people that want to paddle together in the same boat. These programs teach the basics of canoeing on lakes\, from launching a canoe to paddling efficiently and planning a safe canoe outing. \n  \n\nAll programs last approximately two hours.\n$30 per canoe\, with up to two people per canoe. Taxes not included.\nA third person may be permitted to sit in the middle of the canoe with two other paddlers at no extra cost. This would be ideal for two parents with a younger or smaller child. Note that there is no seat in the middle of the canoe.\nParticipants must be at least five years old.\n\nChildren may paddle in the bow of the canoe with a parent in the stern\, or they may sit in the middle. Smaller\, younger children often have a difficult time managing the bow\, so we recommend children under seven years old sit in the middle.\n\n\nParticipants under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.\nAdvance registration is required.\nA vehicle permit is required to enter all Minnesota state parks ($7/day or $35/year). One-day vehicle permits ($7 value) are included with all I Can Paddle! programs where a permit is required.

Come and walk through thousands of blooms spreading down the hill like liquid sunshine. Photo opportunities and U-Pick flower areas allow you to take home a handful of summer for yourself. \n\nWe have planned the sunflower field to start blooming early August for our Early Sunflower Bloom Days. With areas of full Sunflower Bloom around the second week of August and finishing in mid-September. The Flower Fields are open with Joyer Adventure Farm admission.\n\nThe stroll will be an awe-inspiring way to experience the wonders of nature and agriculture. We have planned to seed six full acres of sunflowers in an area of around six football fields\, with 150\,000 seeds to create this beautiful strolling landscape.\n\nDuring the sunflower blooms there are hayrides to the sunflower field and U pick flower fields.
