A florilegium is a compendium of illustrations of the plants in a particular place\, as a visual and historical record. Created by artists of the Minnesota School of Botanical Art\, the project reclaims a centuries old form to highlight a special\, public place that’s important today. It carries on a tradition of botanical illustration that brings together art and science to create accurate\, yet expressive\, depictions of living plants. \nThis all-ages exhibition centers on the 111 watercolors of the florilegium. Advances in medical care mean most now survive into adulthood\, but people born with congenital heart disease often require specialized cardiac care throughout their lives. Nearly 2.5 million Americans are living with congenital heart disease\, and adults now represent the majority of people living with CHD. DESCRIPTION:Cars and Caves\, hosted by Chanhassen AutoPlex\, is back for the 2026 season\, taking place on the final Saturday of each month through September from 9 a.m. to Noon. Every month\, funds raised will benefit a local non-profit from the generosity of guests who attend and offer donations. 100% of any funds raised at Cars and Caves belong to the charity. \nExpect over 400 vehicles displayed both indoors and outdoors across the sprawling 20-acre campus\, ensuring an unforgettable experience. Collector car owners are invited to exhibit their prized vehicles in the show area on a first-come\, first-served basis. Guests will see: \n\nClassics (manufactured between 1925 and 1948)\nCollector (cars at least 25 years old)\nMuscle (high performance American-made cars produced between the mid-1960s and early 70s)\nAntique (cars at least 45 years old)\nStreet Rods (custom-built cars designed to resemble cars from the 1930s and 1940s)\nExotic (high performance sports cars and luxury vehicles that are typically rare and expensive)\nVintage Motorcycles (motorcycles at least 35 years old)\n\nVisitors will also have the unique opportunity to peek inside many of the 120 meticulously customized garage condos\, affectionately known as ‘Caves.’ \nThe event offers free parking both on-site and off-site\, welcoming spectators to immerse themselves in this automotive extravaganza featuring a diverse range of exceptional vehicles. Parking Map. \nCars and Caves is family-friendly and free to attend.
