DESCRIPTION:Join Mississippi Park Connection and national park partners from across Minnesota for a special screening of Out There: A National Parks Story\, a feature-length documentary exploring the people who love\, protect\, and find connection in America’s national parks. \nThe film follows a young filmmaker and his childhood friend on a 10\,000-mile road trip through national parks during the National Park Service’s centennial. What begins as a search for awe-inspiring landscapes evolves into a deeper exploration of the human experiences rooted in these places. Through encounters with park rangers\, conservationists\, and everyday visitors\, Out There reveals powerful stories of healing\, transformation\, stewardship\, and belonging. \nAfter the screening\, join the filmmaker and fellow attendees for a community conversation and Q&A about the enduring importance of national parks—and the people and communities working together to care for them. \nEvent Schedule\n6:00–7:00 PM – Doors open; meet local national park and public lands organizations and enjoy a beverage\n7:00 PM – Out There film screening (75 minutes)\nFollowing the film – Community conversation and Q&A with the filmmaker \nConnect with Conservation Organizations\nCome early to meet with Mississippi Park Connection and other organizations working to protect and strengthen Minnesota’s national parks and public lands.
