The Slavic Experience | The ROC St. Louis Park
Slavic Experience, the first and only festival of its kind in Minnesota, returns for a fourth year on August 2 and 3 at The ROC (3700 Monterey Drive) in St. Louis Park. The free, family-friendly event creates an inclusive and welcoming space for all to celebrate the richness of Slavic heritage.
Guests will experience two days of music, dance, and traditional art demonstrations. Plus, food like kielbasa, cabbage rolls, stuffed dumplings, pastries, traditional beverages, and other culinary delights. There will also be the annual pierogi making contest on Saturday, August 2 at 3 p.m. This is a highlight of the festival as it encourages everyone – home cooks, professional chefs, and pierogi enthusiasts – to prepare a batch of their best pierogi and bring them to the festival on contest day. Judges will decide the winner based on taste, texture, presentation, and creativity. Festival attendees will then get to sample the creations!
The vibrant cultural stage at Slavic Experience will also feature a Fashion Show Saturday night at 6 p.m. The event is a peek into the world of art, creativity, and style as people become the canvas while dazzling the runway.
