*Please arrive 15-20 minutes prior to your program time to ensure parking and a safety talk.
Important Information:
Limited seating is available. If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration so another participant may join. Registrants will be placed in their selected boat type, though assignments may be adjusted for safety. Programs may be canceled due to late‑season vegetation growth in the lake.
Event Overview:
Pickerel Lake offers an ideal environment for beginners learning paddling skills and for returning paddlers sharpening their techniques. A National Park Service ranger will guide you across this calm lake surrounded by floodplain forest and scenic bluffs. Bald eagles, river otters, and abundant mid‑summer lily pads are commonly seen.
What’s Included:
Each registration includes the rental of ONE SEAT in a Paddle Share kayak. Rental also includes a paddle and a personal floatation device (PFD). Canoe and tandem kayak spots must be booked with a partner. Canoes and tandem kayaks may not be reserved by a single participant.
