The Minnesota State Fair runs for 12 days ending on Labor Day and ranks among the largest state fairs in the country by daily attendance. Held at the fairgrounds in Falcon Heights near St. Paul, it draws close to two million visitors who come for livestock competitions, agricultural exhibits, live music, and a legendary lineup of food on a stick. Locals call it the Great Minnesota Get-Together, and it has been a late-summer tradition in the state since the 1850s.
