Tropical Adventure Playground Coming to Eden Prairie
Families in the Twin Cities will soon have a brand-new spot to play, climb, and explore. Lava Island, an indoor adventure park filled with slides, trampolines, and colorful play spaces, is set to open this fall in Eden Prairie. The new attraction will take over the former Amazon Fresh building on Prairie Center Drive and transform it into a tropical-themed wonderland designed for kids and parents alike.

A Playground on a Grand Scale
This indoor adventure space will stretch across 41,000 square feet and be packed with activities for every age. Kids can race tricycles, climb through a three-level jungle gym, bounce on trampolines, and plunge into foam pits. The highlight will be the signature volcano slide, perfect for thrill-seekers. Younger children will have their own safe toddler play zone, filled with age-appropriate fun so they can join in without feeling left out.

Every corner is designed to keep kids moving and engaged. The goal is simple: encourage active play and create an exciting escape from screens. Parents are welcome to join the action or watch from nearby while the kids burn off energy and explore.

Food, Parties, and Family Time
Along with plenty of play structures, the Eden Prairie location will include private party rooms for birthdays and other celebrations. Families can combine hours of playtime with a special space for cake, games, and laughter with friends.

To keep everyone fueled, the park will feature a menu of kid-approved favorites like pizza, wings, funnel fries, and smoothies. With food and play under one roof, families can settle in for the day without having to leave for meals. Lava Island is designed as a place where parents and kids can spend quality time together from start to finish.

First Minnesota Location
The Eden Prairie location marks the very first Lava Island in Minnesota, joining other successful centers in Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, and Montana. Each location has become a destination for families seeking a full day of adventure, and the same is expected here.

Eden Prairie was chosen because of its strong community of families with kids under 12, but it is likely to attract visitors from across the metro and beyond. In other states, families have traveled more than an hour to enjoy the activities, food, and party options. The Twin Cities location will offer that same destination appeal.

A Place for Families to Connect
More than just an indoor playground, Lava Island Eden Prairie is designed to be a hub for family connection. The tropical theme creates a sense of escape, helping kids and adults alike step into a playful, colorful world. From climbing walls to trampolines, and from toddler play areas to group party rooms, there will be something for everyone.

Whether it is a birthday party, a rainy afternoon, or a day when kids need to burn off energy, this adventure park will deliver plenty of options.
Opening Soon
Construction is in its final stages, and while an exact opening date has not yet been announced, it is expected to welcome families sometime this fall. Once the doors open, it is sure to become a favorite spot for kids and parents across the Twin Cities.
With its towering jungle gym, colorful slides, and family-friendly atmosphere, Lava Island is bringing a tropical adventure to Minnesota that families will return to again and again.
