Out There: A National Parks Documentary Community Film Screening and Conversation | Parkway Theatre – Minneapolis

September 14 @ 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
$23.58

Join Mississippi Park Connection and national park partners from across Minnesota for a special screening of Out There: A National Parks Story, a feature-length documentary exploring the people who love, protect, and find connection in America’s national parks.

The film follows a young filmmaker and his childhood friend on a 10,000-mile road trip through national parks during the National Park Service’s centennial. What begins as a search for awe-inspiring landscapes evolves into a deeper exploration of the human experiences rooted in these places. Through encounters with park rangers, conservationists, and everyday visitors, Out There reveals powerful stories of healing, transformation, stewardship, and belonging.

After the screening, join the filmmaker and fellow attendees for a community conversation and Q&A about the enduring importance of national parks—and the people and communities working together to care for them.
