Outdoor Winter Farmer’s Market – White Bear Lake

It is happening, summer has come and gone, and the cold days of winter are fast approaching. But, instead of remaining wistful about the perks of summer, let’s focus on the joys that a Minnesota winter brings. One of the things I quickly learned when I moved to the Twin Cities years ago is that Minnesotans do not let a little cold weather keep them from being outside enjoying the beauty of the winter season.

Michell Bruhn of Forks in the Dirt experienced the same realization when COVID forced her winter’s farmers market outdoors last year. The love of locally grown food and supporting our farmers overpowered the cooler temps.

This year, the White Bear Lake Winter Farmers Market season is about to kick off once again! This season’s market dates are set for November 13th, December 11th, and January 8th. The markets will run outdoors from 10 am to 2 pm, right in front of Tamarack Nature Center. Bringing together local farmers, makers, and community is the driving force behind the event, which continually evolves each year.

You will not want to miss the chance to connect with twenty local farmers and craft food makers with fan favorites and specialty items you won’t find anywhere else!

For more details, including a list of all the goodies you will find at the farmers market,  head on over to Forks in the Dirt!

You can also follow Michelle on Instagram @forksinthedirt and support her mission to get back to simple local food that’s delicious and doable!!
