Our newest Go, See, Explore is Keewaydin Park!

Keewaydin Park is located in South Minneapolis on the east side of Lake Nokomis in the Minnehaha neighborhood.

The new play area at Keewaydin Park is now open! It offers adventure play featuring a bouldering structure (the first of its kind in the  Minneapolis Parks system), zip line, and nature play elements.

The park also has a free wading pool for hot days.  We especially loved the age-separated play zones – the elementary-aged playground was a hit with my kids!

Outdoor birthday parties at here are calling your name! This would be a perfect spot to host a party.  For more information about rentals, check out the Minneapolis Parks Rentals and Permits Information Page.

The park is open daily from 6 am -10 pm and also features sports fields, restroom facilities, picnic areas, and a drinking fountain.

Fun fact: The name Keewaydinn comes from the poem “The Song of Hiawatha,” written by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, who has a community in Minneapolis named after him.

Put Keewaydin Park on the must-do list before the end of the summer! Kids of all ages will have fun!
