February 15 @ 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM

Free

For families. Join us as three-time Emmy Award winner T. Mychael Rambo reads his new book, “The Stories From My Grandmother’s Hands.” Then, make a craft inspired by the book to take home. Materials provided.

Children’s Reading Circle: The Power of Reading Out Loud with MAAHMG is a family-friendly, all ages, reading program that invites local African American authors and community members to engage youth through storytelling and a themed art activity that focuses on Black heritage and the importance of youth literacy. All are welcome to attend!

We encourage attendees to visit the Minnesota African American Heritage Museum and Gallery (MAAHMG) to explore the current Black Liberation history exhibit.

Collaborator: Minnesota African American Heritage Museum and Gallery. This program is funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
