Get ready to make a splash at Como Park Zoo & Conservatory’s Flippers, Fins, & Fun Weekend on March 29 & 30 from 10 AM – 4 PM! This FREE family-friendly event is packed with hands-on activities, games, and exciting interactive stations celebrating the incredible creatures that call the water home.
Whether they glide, paddle, or waddle, we’re putting the spotlight on all things aquatic – and yes, that means our famous sea lion superstar Sparky is part of the fun, too!
What’s in Store?
Seals & Sea Lions Station – Spin the trivia wheel and test your knowledge on these sleek marine mammals! Get up close with biofacts, including real seal and sea lion skulls and even a sea lion flipper.

Blubber Glove Challenge – Think you could survive in icy waters? Slip your hand into the “blubber glove” and find out just how long you can last! S.A.F.E. (Saving Animals From Extinction) Station – Learn how you can take action to help protect endangered aquatic species! Keeper Talks in Tropical Encounters – Watch our tropical fish get special enrichment while zookeepers share fascinating insights into their world. (Always a crowd favorite!)Don’t Miss the Blaze Sparky Show!
