Memorial Day Concert and Reenactment | Walmann Brewery
May 24 @ 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM

What do you call a Memorial Weekend event at a place whose history dates back well before Memorial Day existed? Decoration Day, of course—the holiday created at the end of the Civil War that was later renamed Memorial Day. On Saturday, May 24, Waldmann will celebrate the holiday by reenacting scenes from its own history, including the mustering in of its stonemason-builder, Jacob Amos, with the help of 5th Minnesota Volunteer Infantry reenactors accompanied by music of the era performed by Century Brass, a Saint Paul-based brass quintet that performs 19th century American brass band music.
