I recently visited an amazing salon, and after I was there I honestly wanted to tell every mom in the area about it. It’s called Salon Bambino, located in Woodbury, which specializes in hair for the whole family!
Upon walking in, there’s a warm atmosphere that welcomes you. Unlike other kids salons I’ve been to, this place is classy. You won’t find obnoxious bright colors, but instead the neutral walls and woodsy Minnesota feel immediately makes your family feel at home.
Although not a typical kids salon, they have plenty to keep the little ones occupied. A giant chalkboard caught my little guy’s attention, and the play area was perfect to entertain my baby girls while big brother got his hair cut. When they get a bit older, the salon offers options for birthday parties as well!
What I loved about this salon is that it’s intentional about making any age feel comfortable. Half of the space is designated for doing kids’ hair, and the other half for adults. This means that when pre-teens reach that stage when they think they’re too cool for the kids’ salon, there’s a natural place for them to transition to, without having to give up their favorite hair stylist.
My little Baylen was in full relaxation mode and enjoyed every minute. He knows how to enjoy a haircut, watching the movie they had playing while glancing at the mirror from time to time to check out the action. Sara Gruett, the owner and found of the salon gave him the cut. As a mom of four and someone who’s been specializing in kids’ hair for over 15 years, she knows how important it is to make little ones feel comfortable in the chair. She was so sweet to Baylen, and did an incredible job. The other stylist who was there was just as sweet, also a mother herself. After chatting with them throughout the time we were there, I’m certain your experience would be just as wonderful as the one we had.
I’m excited to try out the services they offer for me! Hopefully I can break away to get some pampering done in this gorgeous room very soon!
Sara and her team have really raised the bar when it comes to family salons. Not only is it professional and classy, but their prices beat competitors. This totally blew me away considering how much higher the quality of service is here. When I alluded to this, they responded and said they want to offer families high quality hair care without adding financial stress. What a win-win!
