Bachman’s Annual Holiday Play: “Santa’s Magical Music”

{Disclosure: Twin Cities Familys Blog has partnered with Bachman’s to get you all the details on their annual holiday experience with Santa. We are thrilled to help spread the word about such a fantastic holiday tradition!}

You know those magical holiday memories from your childhood? The kind you want to cultivate with your kids? We love when we find something that we can add to that list – the kinds of events that can become a tradition and will always be around. Bachman’s is entering year 30 of their annual Santa and Albert holiday play. The performance takes place at the Bachman’s main Lyndale location in Richfield and is right in the middle of the greenhouse, making for a perfect holiday setting.

Our team had the chance to experience the dress rehearsal, and our kids were absolutely mesmerized, not to mention star-struck when Santa made his big appearance.

Santa and Albert are a perfect match – the original play for this year is darling, Santa’s Magical Music, and you can even vote to help Albert win the contest online after their performance.

Near the end of the play, any children that are feeling brave are welcome to join this cheerful pair on stage and sing with them.

The best part? Instead of waiting in long mall lines to meet Santa, your kids spend the performance getting to know Santa and sweet Albert. By the time the performance is over and you have the chance for pictures, your kids will be all warmed up and ready to chat it up with the big guy, without wondering who the man in red is.

Be sure to bring your own camera – there’s plenty of time for photos, and amazingly, not one of our kids cried during the candid photo shoots! We credit that to the warm atmosphere and the chance to interact with Santa beforehand.

We highly recommend adding this to your holiday adventure list, not only for this  year, but for year’s to come. The play is fun, the environment is cozy and full of holiday decor and it’s much more fun, not to mention less hectic, than heading out to the mall and waiting in line.
