Join Mia’s free monthly event for families, kids, and the young at heart. On the second Sunday of every month, the museum is filled with hands-on art activities, storytelling, artist demonstrations, gallery hunts, self-guided tours, and more—all inspired by Mia’s incredible collection.

February 8 | Reflections

Celebrate Black artists with us at Mia’s February Family Day! Experience the power of the spoken word, enjoy a short film, and bust a move breakdancing. We’ll have guides stationed at selected artworks who’ll talk about some of the amazing artists in our collection. We can’t wait to see you there!

Create and perform your own poem about self-identity with local poet Dralandra Larkins, 10 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Bust a move breakdancing with House of Dance, 11 a.m.–noon
Enjoy a film screening in Pillsbury Auditorium
