My once-adventurous 4 year old eater has become the World’s Pickiest Eater. Those three things? They are all he’ll eat – besides the staples of fruit and plain ol’ bread. My youngest luckily hasn’t hit that stage quite yet, so he’ll eat just about anything. I, however, have recently been put on a pretty limited diet, and then the big man in our lives is eating to put on muscle.
In other words, meals around our house have become less than easy. What two people want, the other two can’t have or don’t want. And truthfully, I need variety when it comes to food – I crave variety because I spend so much time in the kitchen, so when I came across this recipe from Hellmann’s, I had to make it.
It contained all the ingredients to a great meal for my three guys: a sandwich that contained carbs, fruit, dairy, a protein and a little sweet-tang sauce. Paired up with some fresh sliced cucumbers and peppers, it made a really well-rounded meal – and even the picky eater loved it! (Also, it went together in about five minutes total – and who doesn’t love a quick-fix meal?!)
Yes, it may seem strange, but trust me – it’s so, so good. This would be an awesome sandwich recipe to have around this winter. Throw a Hawaiian themed afternoon when it’s -30 out!
Aloha Ham & Cheese Sandwich

Prep Time: 5 minutes
| 2 Tbsp. Hellmann’s® Real Mayonnaise |
| 2 slices grilled or toasted Tuscan bread* |
| 3 slices deli ham |
| 2 slices Swiss cheese |
| 3 slices fresh pineapple or canned pineapple |
Evenly spread Hellmann’s® Real Mayonnaise on one side of bread slices.
Top 1 slice with ham, cheese and pineapple, then remaining bread slice.
*We put our sandwiches together first, and then grilled them like a grilled cheese. The melty cheese over the pineapple was a pretty big hit!
