In this installment of my series, I want to talk about something that’s on the minds of most of the moms I talk to on a daily basis: weight loss. How incredibly frustrating is it when we see the men in our lives walking outside to take out the garbage and consequently losing five pounds? Okay, that may be a bit of an exaggeration, but you get the picture and can probably relate. For women, weight loss is something that most of us have been struggling with for the better part of our adult lives, and this is especially true of mothers who just can’t seem to get that pre-baby body back no matter how hard they try.
Let’s be honest. Pregnancy and childbirth can come along with some big changes to your body, but I’m here to tell you that you don’t have to feel guilty for wanting to reverse them. Even if you’re not a mother (myself included in this camp), losing weight and keeping it off can be downright difficult. What’s worse is that when women can’t seem to achieve their fitness goals, they usually end up internalizing that perceived failure and walking through life with low self-esteem and a poor body image.
So when diet and exercise aren’t doing the trick, what’s a lady to do? The solution may be hopping on board something called HCG Weight Loss. This unique weight loss therapy combines the use of HCG injections with a balanced, low-calorie diet to not just help you lose weight, but to also help you curb cravings. Two birds with one stone, so to speak!
HCG, or human chorionic gonadotropin, is a natural hormone that’s produced during the first three months of pregnancy. It has been found to assist with weight loss when combined with a healthy, balanced diet. Many of my patients have lost around 20 pounds in their first 4 to 5 weeks on my HCG therapy program, plus lots of added benefits like reduced cravings, increased energy and a newfound ability to keep the weight off.
Remember that weight loss isn’t just about improving your appearance, although that’s certainly a part of it. Weight loss is also a means of improving your self-confidence and, ultimately, your outlook on life. For lots of people, losing those first 5, 10 or even 20 pounds often serves as a springboard for adopting other great health and wellness habits and really running away with the idea that fueling our bodies with the right nutrients and supplements can have a profound impact on not only their form, but also their function.
So don’t throw in the towel on weight loss and healthy eating just yet. If you’re in a constant battle with your weight, know that you’ve got options outside of making the gym your second home. You can do this!
And remember, feel better, do better. More to come!

Injections? Dr Harrington’s office set me up with drops u put under your tongue. If you are diligent and self controlled this actually does work! I did two rounds and lost a total of 40 lbs. however I had a unexpected surgery and was immobile for a while and gained 15 back 😞 this is a good way to go! I also had cool sculpting done against the advice of my primary doc who told me “don’t waste your money use it to save for a tummy tuck” didn’t listen and it didn’t work….I mean there was a teeny different for a teeny bit but it is not a good option for the moms who have loose skin.
