Park Nicollet has two shiny new facilities at the Methodist Hospital campus that you’ve likely heard of, but may not know all they have to offer. Their Family Birth Center at Methodist Hospital was recently remodeled to provide an optimal healing environment based on scientific research that tells us what works best and input from moms who tell the providers what matters most to them. The new Family Birth Center features four water birthing suites, larger postpartum rooms and more amenities designed for their patients’ comfort.
Their fully equipped labor, delivery and recovery suites are designed for optimal comfort, safety and privacy. The innovative new facility is staffed by nearly 200 medical professionals and can accommodate vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including vaginal birth after cesarean, water births, mothers requiring specialized care and babies born prematurely or with special needs. They also have a new Women’s Center, and we’ve had the chance to get a good look at this ourselves – it’s a beautiful and peaceful place that offers so much in terms of care. The Park Nicollet’s Women’s Center brings more of the services women use into a single location. The Women’s Center is home to a team of medical personnel offering health care designed for women’s busy lives.
Park Nicollet Women’s Center offers a full spectrum of women’s health services, including obstetrical care, midwifery care, gynecologic care, all-in-one appointments, urogynecology, mental health, varicose vein screening, physical therapy, nutrition, mammography, eating disorders, integrative health, lab and ultrasound and perinatology. If you’re expecting, we’d also encourage you to try Park Nicollet’s new pregnancy app – this is something new and fun! They’ve launched a free app that has great information on pregnancy, birth and beyond. It features an appointment tracker, a kick counter, calming playlists, a feeding log and more.

Who: This community event is for expecting families, new moms, growing families and anyone needing a fun morning out! All are welcome, so please share this exciting event with your friends. While the educational information and resources are geared toward new and expecting families, parents in ANY season of life will benefit from the information, giveaways and connections!

You’ll have the chance to ask questions of medical experts in four fields when you sit in on our Medical Panel. Join one of our breakout sessions and learn sign language for ages 0-3 years. Our vendors include some of our favorite local businesses serving families – from music and swimming classes, to where to buy the best in children’s products, fitness for mom and more. In addition, you’ll have the chance to check out the Women’s Center and the Family Birth Center firsthand during tours, available all throughout the morning.
