Explore, Learn, and Engage With Adventure Classroom

Not every child gets the opportunity to go camping in the summer, but Adventure Classroom brings a dynamic learning environment directly to students in their schools.

Adventure Classroom combines physical activity, life skills, and academic activities to challenge and engage young children. Led by trained professionals, the program is individually tailored to each school to ensure alignment with the core curriculum. Here’s how it works.

What Is Adventure Classroom?

Adventure Classroom is a mixture of action and life lessons. The program features stations focused on topics such as archery, science, and leadership, and students must apply classroom concepts to a variety of challenges. Trained guides are present for every experience and ensure every student enjoys a safe and fun environment.

These challenges help students learn new skills, build resilience, and enjoy the outdoors with classmates. In this way, the lessons learned in Adventure Classroom benefit kids beyond school walls.

Activities and Events for All Interests

The two-hour adventure begins with giving each student a Camper Booklet. The booklet provides a schedule of upcoming activities and other information, such as:

  • Interesting nature facts
  • A nature bingo game
  • Space to write or doodle
  • Stickers
  • Fun challenges
  • Reminders on how to interact with nature
  • Archery tips
  • Mindfulness reminders

Kids advance from station to station, participating in a variety of puzzles, games, and skill-building tasks. There are also activities for students to take home and enjoy with their families. Those interested in Scouting will find information on joining a pack in their Camper Booklet.

Adventure Classroom Offerings

Adventure Classroom focuses on five main offerings. Each is designed to expand the students’ learning and boost self-confidence while also being fun.

STEM and Nature Exploration

STEM and nature exploration give students an opportunity for hands-on outdoor discovery. The goal is to spark a child’s natural curiosity, foster outdoor skills, and improve critical thinking.

Team Building and Leadership Games

Interactive group challenges provide the chance to strengthen skills like collaboration and communication. Developing social-emotional skills helps students become better classmates and friends.

Archery/Focus and Confidence Building

Archery involves mental and physical discipline. Each individual skill needed to hit a target encourages children to meet personal goals.

Mindfulness and Reflection

Learning to calm the mind and stay present when there’s excitement all around is a skill that will serve students for their entire lives. Adventure Classroom provides kids with mindfulness strategies they can use every day.

Continuing the Adventure

The fun of Adventure Classroom doesn’t have to end when the school day is over. Students also take home great memories and a variety of activities to enjoy at home. The program is specifically designed to help kids deepen their connection with the great outdoors in their own neighborhoods.

Schools Love Adventure Classroom

There are many reasons why schools love inviting Adventure Classroom into their spaces. A key reason is that Adventure Classroom makes a big impact with minimal hassle. Teachers can remain present and help supervise students, but do not have to prepare for or participate in program presentations.

Other advantages that make the program so popular with teachers and school administrators include:

  • No transportation concerns or extra costs
  • No venue costs
  • No wasted time on buses, relocating, or on-site training
  • No extra staff required
  • No need for permission slips

With its flexible scheduling, Adventure Classroom is an all-in-one experience that’s ideal for all schools that want to provide engaging experiences within a reasonable budget. Schools without the extra time, staff, or budget needed for off-campus events can benefit from Adventure Classroom.

The program has partnered with many schools in the area and is proud of the positive feedback provided by school principals.

Are You Ready for Adventure Classroom?

Adventure Classroom is a two-hour program available to 1st and 2nd graders. The cost is currently $150 per class during the school year and $10 per student during the summer. Trained professionals take care of every detail, including event set-up and tear-down.
