Find Your Winter Style in 5 Easy Steps

During our tough Minnesota winters, it can be hard (especially as a mother) to feel stylish during the cold months.

As a mom to three who is out braving these conditions myself, I’m here to tell you that it can be done. You don’t have to give up on looking good when temperatures drop. Below are some tips and tricks to easily get you on your way.

1) Layer up.

layered scarves

The more the merrier – the sky is the limit. Multiple layers not only elevate your style, but they keep you warm – bonus!

2) Add accessories.

Stack those bracelets up your arm, add a cozy scarf, and voila! You’ve added instant pizzazz to your look without a lot of effort.

3) Two words. Leg warmers.

Leg warmers allow you to wear your favorite dress without suffering from some serious frostbite.

4) Add color.

I don’t know about you – but the dreary gray months start to get to me after awhile. My trick to combat it? Add unexpected pops of color to my every ensemble.

 5) Invest in fun jackets.

One of the beautiful things about our arctic winter weather is that no matter what you have on underneath, you can add a fun jacket on top and you instantly feel like a million bucks.

How do you stay stylish during the frosty months?

Cute ideas! Question though: where did you get the grey/ tan short in picture #4?

Thanks Jesse! I got it at a local Prior Lake shop called The Vintage Gypsy. It’s one of my favorite places to shop. 🙂 You can visit them online here: http://thevintagegypsy.com/ or on their FB page here: https://www.facebook.com/thevintageGypsy

Happy shopping! 🙂

I loved the first pic about layering. They don’t have to be heavy, even with the sheer scarves, they can keep you warm. Thanks for the post.
