Super Neon at Mall of America

Walking into Super Neon is like being whisked out of Bloomington and dropped into a glowing wonderland. This brand-new Mall of America attraction surrounds you with shifting neon colors, glowing walls, and playful light displays that stretch across 11,000 square feet. From the very first step, it feels like you have stepped into a larger-than-life light show built just for exploring.

Rather than a ride, Super Neon is a walk-through adventure that unfolds over 45 to 60 minutes. Guests follow a path that leads from one dazzling zone to the next, each with its own sensory surprises. Families, couples, and groups move together at a relaxed pace, while friendly staff help guide the flow so everyone gets the chance to soak in the experience without feeling rushed.

The Rooms That Steal the Show

Every section of Super Neon offers a different kind of wonder.

  • The Neon Rainstorm fills a room with glowing umbrellas and a cascade of light beams that feel like a storm, but with no water in sight.

  • The Forest Room features luminous trees that respond when touched. Colors pulse up the trunks and across the branches, making the environment feel alive.

  • The Dance Floor invites visitors to move. Every step or spin sends waves of light across the floor and walls. Children race across while adults test a few moves of their own.

  • The Light Painting Zone hands you a chance to “draw” in midair using beams of light. The designs hover for a moment before fading into the next creation.

  • Other spaces feel softer and more reflective. One tunnel is filled with misty light and ambient sound, creating the sense of drifting through clouds.

The Experience

Most guests take 45 minutes to an hour to complete the journey, depending on how much time they spend in each zone. Some walk steadily through, while others pause to explore every detail. The spaces are highly photogenic, and nearly everyone takes photos or video. The neon glow looks incredible to the eye, although phone cameras sometimes struggle to capture it perfectly. Turning off the flash helps.

The path is one-way. Once you move forward, you cannot circle back to a favorite room. This design keeps the experience flowing and helps with crowd management.
